– Elite athlete Jamin Ekai wins the marathon with a time of 2:22:18
– Influencers Raúl Gómez (marathonman), Uri Sabat and Isabel del Barrio (Onmytrainingshoes) enjoyed the RunAndFeel experience as they crossed the finish line on the shores of Ibiza’s waters.

The Santa Euràlia Ibiza Marathon has a new record of the race in the Relay 21k+21k modality achieved by the duo formed by the Spanish Olympian Dani Mateo and the local athlete Wiliam Aveiro with a time of 02.25.55 pulverising the previous best mark of the race registered in 02.48.28 in 2019. Likewise, the international elite Kenyan athlete Jamin Ekai won the marathon, stopping the time in 02.22.18.

The Consell Insular’s sports councillor Salvador Losa was in charge of starting the race in the port of Ibiza, on the shores of the Mediterranean and the Castell de Dalt Vila, which is recognised as a World Heritage Site. The runners were able to enjoy a temperature of 25ºC during the race and the varied landscape of the island, passing through the most important towns of the magical island, rural areas and some passing points in front of the waters of Ibiza. During the race there were some very emotional moments in the relay area of the Relay 21k+21k located in the town of Santa Gertrudis with a large crowd supporting the runners as they handed over the baton to their companions who finished the second part of the course.

The men’s podium was completed in second place by the Valencian Alberto Candela with a time of 02:56:31 and in third place by the athlete Manuel Pérez who stopped the clock in 03:01:46. The prizes were presented by the councillor of sports, Salvador Losa, the councillor of sports of Santa Euràlia Toni Ramón and the councillor of sports of the Ibiza Town Hall Elena López.

The world famous Sunset of Ibiza has witnessed a magical afternoon with a new record in the Relay Santa Euràlia Ibiza Marathon in its IV edition. With this new record, the most important sporting event of the island consolidates an adventure that began in 2017 and that is becoming one of the most attractive experiences for the practice of running in the international calendar.

Both the team of Talentum Group, the organising entity of the Ibiza Marathon, and the authorities who have attended on behalf of the Santa Eulària des Riu Town Council, the Ibiza Town Council and the Island Council itself have shown their enormous satisfaction for the success achieved in this fourth edition that demonstrates the sporting potential of the island and that attracts a seasonal and quality tourism.
