As of today (at 11 a.m.) the organisers have put bib numbers on sale for the fourth edition of the biggest sports event of the island, which will be held on Saturday 4 April. With more than 2,400 participants in 2019, the Ibiza Marathon, the Ibiza 12K and the new half marathon 21K + 21K Relay format have been consolidated as the great races of Ibiza and they form the world-famous #RunAndFeel experience.

Being hasty offers rewards, since registration for the earliest entrants is priced at €50 for marathon runners, €15 for participants in the 12K and €80 per team for runners of the 21K + 21K Relay (€40 per member). Furthermore, for this edition, the organisers have arranged the sale of official merchandising for the event with special jacket and sweatshirt models of the Joma Brand and official technical socks that can be purchased during the registration process and will be handed out at the runners’ fair on 3 and 4 April 2020. A 2019 that foretells a very successful future

The 2019 Ibiza Marathon was held on Saturday 6 April, a record edition during which more than 2,400 runners once again made this the most well-attended event of the island of Ibiza with regard to participation. The athletes Eliud Kibet Too (2:14:30) and Belainesh Yami Gurmu (2:34:30), Kenyan and Ethiopian respectively, beat the circuit records by bettering the best time in the men’s race by one and a half minutes and the best time in the women’s trial by more than 18 minutes. In addition, the best times were also established in the Ibiza 12K by Anass Bourass and the international athlete Gema Martín. Together with these sporting landmarks, the major races of the island included the half marathon relay mode, the Ibiza 21K + 21K Relay, in which hundreds of runners shared the effort to complete the marathon circuit in two separate legs of 21 kilometres with a single changeover point in one of the most iconic localities of the island, Santa Gertrudis.

Furthermore, the Ibiza Marathon has been consolidated as a trial that has received spectacular support from international runners, who find in Ibiza an ideal destination for practising sport. This is demonstrated by the fact that, after this third edition of the Ibiza Marathon, the total number of international runners in the marathon exceeded 72% with the presence of runners of 49 different nationalities, 20 more than the previous edition.
