The charitable contribution of the Ibiza Marathon and its races in 2020 will be dedicated to people on the island with special needs
APNEEF (Association for People with Special Needs of Ibiza and Formentera) is the chosen charitable organisation for the fourth edition of this sporting event. Everybody participating in the marathon, 12K, 42K Relay or 20K can make a donation of two euros to this not-for-profit organisation.
The Ibiza Marathon will collaborate with the international tour operator Jet2.com in the dissemination of its races
Santa Eulària City Council and Jet2.com collaborated to promote the municipality in the beginning and end months of the season
The Ibiza Marathon exceeds 2,000 registered in the absence of more than two months for its celebration
Participation figures reflect a growth of over 46% compared to 2019 with the presence of brokers from more than 30 countries
The 20-kilometer race, which will take place on April 4, adds another incentive for runners from all corners of the planet
Bib numbers for the three races – marathon, 12K and 21K + 21K Relay – are now available and can be acquired via the official website
The island’s major races, which this year brought together more than 2,400 registered participants, already have a date for the next edition
Eliud Kibet Too (2:14:30) and Belainesh Yami Gurmu (2:34:30) have recorded the best times in the history of the marathon. Anass Bourass (00:38:38) and Gema Martín Borgas (00:43:20) have accomplished the same achievement in the parallel 12,000 metre race.
The overall number of participants in Ibiza Marathon and its races for Saturday 6 April is almost 16% higher compared to last year. International runners are consolidated as the protagonists of this sports event, since they represent 74% of those registered for the marathon.
All those taking part in the marathon, the 42K Relay and the Ibiza 12K will get an invitation to the #RunAndFeel party
The organisers will reward all the finishers with a medal for each of the trials in which they take part
