The organization of the Santa Eulalia Ibiza Marathon 2020, scheduled for Saturday April 4th, has postponed the celebration of the most important sporting event on the island of Ibiza in the face of the exceptional situation caused by the coronavirus health crisis. For the organization, the care and prevention of the more than 3,000 runners and therefore of society, it is the most important thing, for this reason it has been decided to postpone the holding of the event until October 3rd. Likewise, with the aim of offering the best option to runners, the organization will offer all those registered who have acquired the race number for any of the four distances that may participate in the new date or in the V edition scheduled for April 2021. In addition, the organization will provide all registrants with the possibility of changing the ownership of the number acquired.

The Santa Eulalia Ibiza Marathon, made up of the 12K, marathon, 21K + 21K Relay and the new 20K distance, has decided to postpone the race, establishing as a top priority the health care of runners, workers and assistants, as well as responsibility social in the face of this exceptional situation marked by the current global health crisis. Likewise, the new date for the event, Saturday October 3rd, has been set trying to guarantee the best climatic conditions for the participants and evaluating the tourist and economic impact that the sporting event generates on the island.

Finally, the organization of the Ibiza Marathon informs that the current priority is agile communication with all runners to be able to transfer the news that occurs regarding the issues arising from the test.
