    • The organization of the most massive sporting event has launched a campaign in which it gives away a number with the purchase of another one of the same distance to help the reactivation and growth of sports tourism on the island

The organization of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon has launched a campaign to promote sustainable sports tourism on the island of Ibiza with the aim of contributing to the reactivation of sports tourism activities and with this, promoting the arrival of runners and visitors to the island in 2021.

In this way, the organization has activated a campaign in which it will give away a number from Friday and during the weekend with the purchase of a registration of the same distance for the race to be held on April 10, 2021, as long as when the health situation allows it. This action will be valid for the four races that make up the most massive sporting event in Ibiza, 42k marathon, 12k, 21k relay marathon + 21k Relay and the new 20k distance.

The organizing committee has communicated the good expectations generated by the different announcements of effectiveness and deadlines for the availability of the covid-19 vaccine in followers and lovers of running. In this sense, the director of the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon, Francisco Larrey, highlighted “the new news regarding a prompt distribution of vaccines makes us look optimistically at the development of safe sporting events in Ibiza. For this reason, we have activated this campaign in which we give away a number with the purchase of another one of the same distance in order to promote sports tourism and seasonally adjusted and thus contribute to the recovery of the island’s much-hit tourism sector by the health situation” he stated.

From the Santa Eulària Ibiza Marathon they have valued the significant growth that the event was having before the pandemic with figures close to 46% increase compared to the previous edition and they hope to continue maintaining this positive trend of registrations for the event. In this sense, the organization recalls that prudence and health security have been the fundamental axes of all the decisions taken so far and will continue to be the case, and they assure that they will continue working hard to offer the best #RunandFeel experience to all runners and event followers.
